ADVISORY: Features some images suitable for adults only
When we started this blog, RASPBERRY RIPPLES, we were kinda clueless! But I looked at what a lot of other bloggers were doing and it inspired me to be creative and try to make each post attractive. I am new to using this platform and there seems to be all sorts of functions that you can play around with.
For example we discovered the COUNT DOWN feature which I used in another post to show how many days are left to the publishing of our third novel. I noticed that it worked in the post itself, but it did not work when you viewed the post in the Reader that WordPress uses.
Well, something else I want to try is the different blocks for featuring pictures and photos. So I am going to experiment with a gallery of images, and then see whether they work in both the post and the Reader…or not. You might have to be tolerant of me playing around with these blocks and features to see what works and doesn’t work. Let’s call it “raspberry rippling”…playtime with the blog to tease and entice you (hopefully, not frustrate you!)
Here is my attempt at a gallery. Look at the difference between my post on Reader and on the actual site. Can you tell me why they are so different? Please? All advice is appreciated.

So I just published this post, and it tells me that some of these editing blocks work within a post, but they do not work in Reader. That is kinda weird, well I reckon it is, but I am no expert. I can see that some other bloggers have figured out how to publish a gallery because I can see the gallery in Reader when and on their websites. Maybe I am gonna have to go ask for help to do that on my site.
If I can figure out how to use these blocks, then it should help to keep the blog attractive and inviting. Some other bloggers are obviously vert creative and experienced. I aspire to knowing how to use this platform to the best effect.
I hope you enjoy my raunchy Raspberry Rippling. Hopefully I will get it right eventually!

Are you using the new block editor Jen?

I think we are. There are a lot of blocks I am trying to figure out what they do. I don’t get why some work in the website post but not in Reader. Any tips Miss Finch? How’s the Judge? Tell him to check his emails. Ben sent him a message about the torch he “borrowed”. Will you check with him that it came back from Burundi?

I don’t know much about the block editor Jen. I have been using what I think is the classic editor. I love making collage of pictures. Apparently everyone is going to have the block editor forced on them eventually, which makes me nervous.
Other bloggers have mentioned being able to opt for the classic editor, but I don’t know how you go about that.

There is a block on the menu called Classic Editor. maybe I will try using that to see if I can get the results I want.

Sweetie they are all from Pixabay, Pexels and Unsplash and places like that. There is a feature on the search bar which allows you to search for images free to share.
I have used some of these images to adorn other posts, but I just wanted to experiment as I try to figure out who to use the different editing blocks. I will be playing around with a few features over the next few weeks.
