I featured a classic iconic Boddington’s beer commercial a while ago. They have had a string of sexy ads, and this one is showing how they even turned their concept into a toon.
Often the idea is that a sexy woman turns out to have a rough and ready beer loving side to her catching out men who may misunderstand their true motives. I think their catchline “Eeew, lasses these days – they’re only after one thing!” sums it up so well!

The bovine in the ad has udders making it a female cow, even if her voice is mannish. So I take it that this was a potential lesbian love scene. Urg! I get annoyed at my own pedantry sometimes.

I think you are right! But I most of the series was a northern guy who falls prey to a beautiful woman who turns out to be more interested in his beer than she is in him.
There are so many Boddington’s adverts that capture that theme.
