For many months I have been limited by pain and found my energy levels dwindling. By the time you read this post I will hopefully have left hospital after the surgery scheduled to remove a very unwelcome invader that has been growing in my lower back and causing crazy pain and all sorts of havoc to everything below my waist!
One of the things that has helped me to endure these past months of illness is the unparalleled pleasure of afternoon naps. The very best naps are when Ben is home and he can join me.
Although I am hoping that this surgery means I can soon look forward to being back at my normal pace, I don’t think I will ever be able to resist the allure of an afternoon nap.

It’s been a quite a sage Gemma. It all started with lifting something awkwardly, but when I could barely walk months afterwards they started to realize that something serious must be going on. I want to be better soon. The length of time this has gone on for has really been tough to endure.

Thank you Marie. I have been so tired since they cut me open. My friends tell me that it takes a while for the anesthetic to leave your system. They removed as much of the naughty lump as was possible. Next month I have to start another course of treatment to try to get rid of the rest of it.

Give yourself the time to heal, Jenna, and rest as much as possible. I know how tiring all those hospital visits can be, and I am not even the patient
