Our Walk Together

As we walk onwards hand in hand

Enjoying the warmth of the sand

Whispers of love, passion and more

As cool waves lap against the shore

Hold me close in a fond embrace

There are facts we both need to face

Dear friend, my body is brittle

I need to sleep for a little

There may be some time ’til I wake

I dread to cause any heart break

My heart is strong and full of faith

On the outside I’m a mere waif

I have to accept what is true

Yet I will rise and feel brand new

So please let my mind be at rest

Don’t let worry become a test

I have to accept what is true

Yet I will rise and feel brand new

I’m deeply grateful to you my friend

But these broken wings you can’t mend

I have to aceept what is true

Yet I will rise and feel brand new

I know it’s hard to understand

With broken wings, robin can’t land

Earnest prayers and heart that is pure

Cannot between them find a cure

I’m ill, I can’t keep up the chase

Soon, I will bow out of the race

Dear friend, my body is brittle

I need to sleep for a little

There may be some time ’til I wake

I dread to cause any heart break

My mind is strong, I’m full of faith

Though outwardly I’m a mere waif

I have to accept what is true

Yet I will rise and feel brand new

Promise me, let me be at rest

That heartbreak won’t become your test

I have to accept what is true

Yet I will rise and feel brand new

I love you dearly my sweet friend

But these broken wings just won’t mend

I have to accept what is true

Yet I will rise and feel brand new

Then we can walk on together

Hand in hand we’ll walk forever

I wish I could wrap you up in magic and fix you so you can soar again. I love you Miss Pink, it doesn’t matter that we will never meet in person, our minds have met and played and danced and connected. I am honoured to call you my friend. 💖💖💖
